Like my protagonist, Regan Manning, I am a former Juneau girl, lucky to have had a unique childhood in a state where the population is sparse and the precipitous landscape is both grand and challenging. I got my first taste of politics at 17 when I went to work in the Alaska Governor’s Office. I was hooked! A couple decades later, I established a lobbying/communications consulting firm in Lawrence, Kansas. But over the 15-year course of serving clients, the dream of writing a novel sat percolating on the back burner.
I finally shifted my focus from corporate communications to that political thriller I’d been plotting for ages - and I haven’t looked back. Writing fiction is my new passion. Regan and Company will soon be back, confronted with a whole new set of controversial issues and nefarious villains.
